Guidelines for Prohibited Products on St. Store: To ensure the safety and integrity of our platform, certain items that violate Scottish laws or could potentially harm our community are prohibited from being listed or sold.
Listing process:

When listing items, provide accurate and detailed descriptions including: size, condition, and any imperfections

Upload clear, high quality photos, with a neutral background of each item

Correct Category Listing: Always place your product under its appropriate category. (Incorrect: Listing fruits under "Livestock")

Keyword Integrity: use only relevant and accurate keywords during listing (Refrain from using popular brand names or phrases not directly related to your product)

No Duplicate Listings:Do not list the same product with identical conditions multiple times.

External Links & Transactions:External shopping links in product descriptions are prohibited. (For everyone's safety, we recommend using St.Store’s built-in payment and transaction system)

Authentic Product Information: Listings should reflect products you genuinely intend to sell. (Misleading product titles, descriptions, or prices will not be entertained.)

Avoid Consumer Confusion: Your business profile or product name should not impersonate or mislead users into thinking it's affiliated with St.Store’s official services.

Fair Consumer Practices: Avoid unfair practices like: Intentional mispricing, pushing for direct, off-platform transactions, listing products primarily to advertise other items.

Honest Advertising: Your product descriptions and advertisements should be truthful.
Prohibited products:

Any goods that do not fall under the “clothing” or “textbook” category

Unauthorized Goods & Services: Any product or service that lacks necessary permissions, approvals, or hasn’t been reported or registered as required by the law.

Foods and beverages are prohibited

False Origin Declaration: Items falsely marked with incorrect origins.

Illegal Imports: Products imported without necessary paperwork or declarations.

Stolen Goods: Any item that is illegally obtained.

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Related Products: Sale of alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, or any similar products is strictly prohibited.

Medical Devices & Related Products: Unauthorised medical equipment or related items.

Misleading Advertisements: Products that violate advertisement standards or present false information.

Restricted Adult Content: Obscene or adult items, especially those harmful to minors.

Explicit Content: Any item that uses pictures, language, videos, or signals to stimulate sexual shame.

Dangerous Items: Items that could cause physical harm including, but not limited to, firearms, bladed weapons, handcuffs, electric shock devices, and military-grade items

Drugs & Medications: Sale of narcotics, medicines (without necessary approvals), blood, blood donation certificates, prescription glasses, contact lenses, or related products is prohibited.

Infringement: Products that violate intellectual property rights, including pirated items, copyright infringements, and any product that breaches privacy rights.

Endangered Species: Sale of endangered animals, plants, or foreign insects.

Health Supplements: Sale of health or dietary supplements without the necessary approvals.

Fluctuating Price Items: Items where the price is volatile or is set based on certain conditions (like phone subsidies, internet sign-up offers, auctions).

Abuse-Prone Software or Services: Any software or service designed for malicious purposes.

Socially Controversial Items: Any other product that could raise societal concerns or is considered inappropriate in the Scottish context.
Products Requiring Certification, License, or Regulatory Approval

Agricultural and Aquatic Products: Proper labelling is required, indicating the origin of these products to ensure transparency to consumers.

Eco-Friendly Agricultural Products: Organic or eco-friendly agricultural products must adhere to specific standards and certifications. Mislabeling or false claims are prohibited.

Publications: There are regulations regarding pricing and discounts, ensuring fair practices in the publishing industry.

Children's Products:Products intended for children under 13 must meet specific safety standards. This may include undergoing tests or displaying particular safety labels.
